What is Kahai Oil?
A skin superfood and a nutritional powerhouse. It exceeds the Linoleic Acid and Vitamin E content of Argan Oil and has more natural Retinol than Rosehip oil.
Where is it sourced from?
Kahai Oil is sustainably extracted from cold pressing Cacay Tree nuts through a process that preserves all of its properties and benefits.
The communities of the Amazon have used this luxurious oil since ancient times. The extraction process has definitely improved, but skin and hair care results have only grown in popularity, advancing with global demand.
How does it benefit our skin?
Packed with Vitamin A, E and F, clinical studies have proven Kahai Oil reduces wrinkles, improves hydration, firmness, elasticity, and skin smoothness.
These three essential vitamins will help your skin prevent and fight the visible signs of ageing by:
- Illuminating and restoring skin radiance
- Protecting and strengthening the skin's natural protective barrier
- Improving elasticity
- Promoting cell renewal
- Providing soothing antioxidant protection
What's more, Kahai Oil is not photosensitive, which means it can be used safely during the day or night without reacting to UV light. It is well tolerated by sensitive skin conditions, absorbs into the skin well and is fantastic to treat a dry, irritated skin while ensuring your skin maintains firmness, elasticity and luminosity.
The Components I Love
We're always looking at nature for ways to deliver results to the skin. In this oil, we've found a complex and dynamic mix of actives that have proven to enhance your skin's appearance.
Containing around 75% Linoleic Acid, commonly known as Vitamin F, it's a remarkable skin regenerator. It restores the skin's protective barrier and increases its resistance to external aggressions. We can't say it enough, protecting the skin is just as important as nourishing it, so we're grateful for this component.
The lack of Vitamin F could be one of the reasons you experience dry, rough or flakey skin. By adding it to your Certified Organic skincare ritual, you're improving your chances of reclaiming that skin elasticity we're all after.
Unlike Vitamin F, Vitamin E is a well-known and potent antioxidant that you're probably well versed in. So, you'll be pleased to know that Kahai Oil is one of the highest in Vitamin E content, providing nutrition to cells and protecting against free radicals.
A natural Retinol found in our Certified Organic skincare products, it's the famous anti-ageing vitamin. By activating the skin's natural renewal process, encouraging cell regeneration and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, it's a high-performance vitamin contributing to successful clinical results.
Clinical trials using Kahai Oil have also shown a high percentage of reduction in the depth of wrinkles. For example, one study run by Derma Consult in Germany showed that 95% of patients showed a reduction of up to 45% in wrinkle volume after only using the ingredient for four weeks.
Kahai Oil for the Skin
It is classed as a dry oil which means it has a significant affinity to absorb well into our skin and is also a food-grade ingredient that can treat the skin, hair, and nails.
Fast absorbing and non-comedogenic, Kahai Oil works best when used as an ingredient in a booster or serum, perfect for applying underneath your favourite moisturiser. Combined with other actives, the ingredients work in synergy for even better, targeted results.
Where can you find it?
Kahai Oil is one of our key actives in organicspa antioxidant face oil and cleansing balm. It serves as a powerful antioxidant that protects skin cells against the harmful effects of free radicals that are the leading cause of skin ageing.
To add a little Kahai Oil into your skincare ritual, I recommend organicspa antioxidant face oil. You can use it daily on damp skin after cleansing and a few sprays of the toning mist. If your skin is dry, you may also apply your moisturiser over the top.
The organicspa cleansing balm is rich and luxurious. It is the perfect end of day product for a dry, irritated or heavy makeup wearer as the oil dissolves makeup effortlessly whilst the nourishing oils comfort and protect the skin. If you're wearing eye makeup, we recommend removing it first with our cream cleanser. Then to nourish dry, irritated skin, follow with the cleansing balm.
When used regularly, these luxurious oil blends will assist in delaying and preventing free radical damage. Plus, they will repair and protect the skin cells from further damage.
So for greater luminosity, hydration, elasticity and firmness, ensure Kahai Oil makes an appearance in your Certified Organic skincare ritual.
